- Kate's daddy is Karel and he was born and bred in Prague, Czech Republic and his family is all still there. We visit yearly, although sometimes I think it's just for the pivo! ;-) Kate's Mommy is Mary and she grew up on the Monterey Peninsula, but has lived in Fresno, San Francisco, Japan, and now Carmichael. Kate is super sweet and has a mega-personality at only 1 year old. She is the apple of her mommy and daddy's eye, and everyone seems to take to her, and want to say hello wherever she goes. Kate is very joyful, and it seems as though she is sharing that joy with those around her. Karel and Mary feel very fortunate to be blessed with Baby-Kate.

It can be done. I was potty trained at 9 months, BUT, it's not about the child having the control, it's about the parents being trained to put the baby on the potty all the time....they don't have any control over it at that age, so it's just about sitting them there.....diapers are so much easier!!!
