Well, as you can see, we're home after surviving a whirlwind trip to Prague to visit the fam. Kathleen flew across the Atlantic and is now an international traveler. She charmed many folks along the way and broke a heart or two as well when she left to come back to Cali. She was quite spoiled what with both Grandmothers doting over her day and night. We hope we have convinced Karel's mom Dana, to come for a visit to Montana next summer! Enjoy the pix and Merry Christmas to all!

Getting ready for Prague

The past few days have been full of preparations for out trip to Prague. Kathleen will meet all her Daddy's family, including her Grandma, 2 Aunties, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, Step-Grandma, and many cousins and assorted Czech folk. She will get mucho smoochos!

Kitty-Kate is very excited about her new chair. She can sit up in it now all by herself and just loves her new perspective on life! And, don't worry people, we would NEVER put the Bumbo on a raised surface! Duh! :-) Go Katko!!!

Early Thanksgiving in Montana

The Kitty-Girl had a big adventure last week at her Gramma's in Montana. She had her first plane ride...(actually 4 total!) and lots of lovin' and squeezin' from her relatives. Auntie Christine put on a big fancy pre-Thanksgiving dinner and the cousins got to play.

First Soccer Practice

Kathleen has accomplished a major feat. Or should I say "feet"? She scored her first goal for Coach Karel, who is proud to say he has taught her everything she knows.

Weekend in Carmel

Kathleen had a splendid weekend in Carmel visiting Stacey and family. She enjoyed a long walk down to Carmel-by-the-Sea, along Scenic, around the Point, to the Lagoon Beach, and all the way back up to Stacey's house. She also got to observe her first Geo-Cash experience. This exciting adventure was capped off with pumpkin carving, complete with a paparazzi photo-shoot! Silly goose!

The El Camino Eagles Varsity Soccer team recruited an Assistant Coach for the final game of the season. Head Coach Karel was quite amenable to the new addition on the coaching roster and was actually heard taking a few pointers from Asst. Coach Kitty-Girl.

Apple Hill

Kathleen had some fun times up in the beautiful Apple Hill country. We stopped at a few different ranches. Our favorite was the Bavarian Hills, where Kitty-Girl got to polka with her Daddy, and pose for the Leiderhosen/Barmaid picture. Hysterical!!!

Darling Girl...

Our little sweetheart is becoming quite joyful as she explores her 10 week old life adventures. She also weighed in just under 10 lbs this week, and therefore gained close to a pound in one week! Can you say "growth spurt"? Yikes!

Fairy Tales

Karel is having a blast telling Kitty-Girl Czech fairy tales. As you can see, he is quite animated and she doesn't quite know what to think of her goofy Daddy.

I'm Two Months Old!!!

Today I am two months old. So much has happened in that short amount of time, although I've already trained my parents well. They know that I will cry when they put me down, and since they are such softies, I get to run the show! Ha ha ha!!!

Kathleen and her Daddy had some good times this gorgeous fall evening out in the backyard. Our little girl is growing up so fast! She weighed in today at 8 lbs, 12 oz and is 8 weeks old! Her facial expressions are much more animated and she has that magic touch that just melts your heart for sure.

Warner Chin

For those who wondered, Kathleen does indeed appear to have a Warner chin. If you do not know what that is, you can check out my chin, or my Mom's. It's moveable, akin to its own separate appendage, as it were. Kathleen is proud of her Warner chin, as you can see. :-)

First Walk in Baby-Bjorn

Today, my Mommy & Daddy took me for a walk in the Baby-Bjorn. At first I was kind of scared and cried a little, but then I got used to it and it was actually pretty cool! I also got to wear my new socks!

Kathleen is 6 weeks old!

TA DA!!! I am 6 weeks old, and I just weighed in at 8 pounds! Aren't I just the cutest little butterfly girl?

Kathleen visits the Pacific Ocean

Whilst visiting family in SF last weekend, Kathleen got her first glimpse of the Pacific Ocean. The weather was not cooperating however, as the wind and blowing sand kept her safely protected in her stroller.

Sleepless in Sacramento

None of us are getting any sleep tonight as we prepare for our first road trip together. We are going to San Francisco tomorrow where the family is gathered to support Aunt Brooks who is recovering from surgery. She just had a partial brain tumor removed, and overall, her prognosis is looking good! We plan to take Kathleen to the beach so she can put her toes in the sand for the first time.

5 Weeks Old

Our little Kitty-Girl is 5 weeks old and weighs in at 7 lb, 6 ounces....she was very happy to meet Aunt Brooks and Uncle Chris yesterday. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pix this time.

First Real Bath!

Today my Mommy and Daddy gave me a bath. I was actually emersed in water up to my belly button! It was kinda like back before I was born I think. I was very relaxed and I didn't fuss at all. Mommy & Daddy were shocked at how much I liked my bath. I think they were scared I was going to FREAK OUT! Ha ha ha! Now I am just squeaky clean little Kitty-Girl!

I'm 1 Month Old Today!

Mommy & Me

Mary & Kathleen have started going to Mommy & Me class. The group is very supportive and Mary learns a lot about taking care of babies, and coping with the little "challenge" aka "bundle of joy." Kathleen gets to check out the other babies. She thinks they are all VERY BIG, and it's a little intimidating. However, she gets lots of compliments wherever they go in the stroller. A nice man was admiring her in the parking lot of Kaiser today. He said, "She's a beautiful girl; enjoy the time for soon enough she'll be 26 and graduating from college!" (Wonder who he was referring to? ) :-)
