While Sunday morning threatened rain, we took our chances and headed off to the Sacramento Zoo. What good fortune we had as the clouds burned off and we had sun! Kate was quite vocal and let everyone know how excited she was to see animals for the first time ever. (Well, other than Pepper the Cat that is.)

One of the many good things about having kids is that you get to visit those fun places with a new perspective. Zoo's, fairs and birthday parties take on new meanings!
