Whilst visiting family in SF last weekend, Kathleen got her first glimpse of the Pacific Ocean. The weather was not cooperating however, as the wind and blowing sand kept her safely protected in her stroller.

- Kate's daddy is Karel and he was born and bred in Prague, Czech Republic and his family is all still there. We visit yearly, although sometimes I think it's just for the pivo! ;-) Kate's Mommy is Mary and she grew up on the Monterey Peninsula, but has lived in Fresno, San Francisco, Japan, and now Carmichael. Kate is super sweet and has a mega-personality at only 1 year old. She is the apple of her mommy and daddy's eye, and everyone seems to take to her, and want to say hello wherever she goes. Kate is very joyful, and it seems as though she is sharing that joy with those around her. Karel and Mary feel very fortunate to be blessed with Baby-Kate.

Yes, all considerations of travel must be centered around the little 8 lb-Wonder's needs, or all hell will break lose! Ocean Beach in SF really made me appreciate the beaches in Carmel, to be quite honest in a snobby sort of way.
The weather looks good to me! Anytime it's sunny at the ocean is a good time up here! I have to say, you do look a bit cold, and Kathleen looks all cozy. Glad you were able to visit, I'm sure Chris and Brooks appreciated your visit.
